You may have noticed that when opening a SolidWorks file
that has multiple configurations, sometimes you are asked to choose a
configuration and sometimes not.
Just like with Mastercam’s operations, the SolidWorks file
needs to be clean to work.
Mastercam only recognizes SolidWorks configurations that
are clean, meaning they do not need to be regenerated using the SolidWorks’ Rebuild option.
Finding the dirty configurations is easy:
1.
Open the file in SolidWorks.
2.
Select each configuration and look at the file
name in the title bar:
If a configuration has an asterisk (*) next to its name, it needs
to be rebuilt.
