The Edge Factor Team is at it again! And you can help them reach their goal of $70,000, so they can film an unforgettable, inspirational story about humans pushing their own limits, as well as raising the bar for manufacturing challenges. Edge Factor presents: The ‘Dark Horses’ Mission.
In November 2012, the four riders of the HERO Racing team will race their motocross bike 1200 miles across the desert in one of the most dangerous and grueling races in the world: the Baja 1000. While even completing this punishing race is a triumph for any athlete, each of these riders is an amputee.
On this mission, they will be carrying a prosthetic leg on their back as a symbol of carrying the dreams of other physically challenged athletes with them. At the finish line of this arduous race, the riders will give the prosthetic leg to a deserving recipient. The four HERO racing riders, the ‘Dark Horses,’ have overcome tremendous obstacles; this film will inspire everyone and especially other physically challenged athletes to pursue their dreams.
Watch the video below to see the Edge Factor film, ‘Metal and Flesh:’ an incredible story about one of the HERO Racing riders, “Monster” Mike Schultz, a 3-time X Games Gold Medalist and amputee.
And if you would like, you can donate towards Edge Factor reaching their $70,000 goal!
